Moving Along

Everything is moving so fast and I am so excited!

I have three letters of recommendation for graduate school.
-Dr. Shinasi Rama : Director of graduate admissions at NYU poly sci, fluent in 11 languages, cynic, former gun-holder for the Russian army, argued with me about the coming anarchy.
-Dr. Cheryl Sterling : African history and post-colonial literature scholar, Jamaican woman with a biting tongue, uses my essays in her class to give her students something to measure up to.
-Dr. Robert McChesney : Afghanistan enthusiast, author of many books on the area, director of the Afghanistan Digital Library project, laughed at me for sleeping in his class and still pulling an A.

I scheduled to take the GRE on November 26th. Ah! Devoting much time to studying in the next six weeks.

I haven't talked about therapy in a while but I don't think I want to just yet. That process is moving along so fast as well. Maybe I'll write a post about it later. It is good, rather hard but good.

I realized the other day that I don't have one memory of my mother holding me and loving me unconditionally when I needed it most. When I was hurt she would get angry with me for pulling away when she went to pour alcohol on my cuts.

Now the door is open and my thoughts are lost in memories. More later.
